Arizona Costume Institute and Contemporary Forum, A Phoenix Art Museum Support Organization hosted an exclusive members reception and preview of YEOHLEE | SERRA, an exhibition pairing the work of fashion designer Yeohlee Teng and artist Richard Serra. YEOHLEE is best known for her independent sustainable designs and is an advocate for local sourcing and manufacturing. She was recognized in 2004 with the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award for Fashion.

In this exhibit SERRA takes a departure from his best known medium of massive sculptural forms, prints focused on geometric shapes and their relationship to a space and hones his experimentation of the conventional silkscreen processes that redefined surface structure, scale, density and depth of color. Members were treated to a special presentation by Yeohlee Teng where she was asked, "who is your favorite artist?" Yeohlee's response, "life is an art form." While these collections were conceived independently and for different purposes, these works, shown together, bridge a connection between two of the Museum's collection areas.
